Feeling small

Of all my globetrotting, most of it in the last eight years has been to Africa.  Never really before seeing this graphic did I really truly grasp how big the place is!  I mean look at the US in there.  It's about a third of Africa! Think of how long coast-to-coast flights are in the US...Boston to California takes a whole day.  Think about Africa!!!

Just a post here to think about size and relevance and power. China, India and Africa dominate in size while the U.S., UK and Japan dominate in other areas despite being so geographically small.  I suppose it gives me hope that small packages are powerful (no hidden self-reference there ;) but also very quickly puts you in your place at how small we all really are.
