Tanzania- ninth time around

Below I’ve written a few entries to break up some of the text and stories of the adventures that I’ve had over the past two weeks. Darting to and fro in Tanzania. I arrived in Dar es Salaam on Feb 17th for roughly a four week trip that includes two main activities (1) co-facilitating two 2.5 day trainings for District Reproductive Health Coordinators in Zanzibar and Pemba in Family Planning Logistics; and (2) conducting and calculating the 2009 annual contraceptive forecast for the public sector in ALL of Tanzania. The below accounts for the first part of the trip and later this weekend I’ll get to all the forecasting of condoms and pills, etc.

Also- WAY down below on these posts you’ll see a “old” update. I fished around to try and find the emails that I sent when I first visited Tanzania in 2004- five years ago! Amazing to think that I’ve travelled to this country NINE times in the past five years! I thought these would be interesting to read- see some of my naïveté and also my eyes being opened to a whole new world.
